3-Year System Admin Technical Support Engineer (US-only)


Job description

A successful candidate for this position will be able to:

  • Address technical support challenges in an efficient and effective manner
  • Manage a complex cutting edge web, software, telephony, and video infrastructure
  • Adequately document issues and procedures for our support and technical teams

In addition to supporting our current platforms, you will be asked to provide insight and assist in documenting our application infrastructure through updates or redevelopments. As updates are developed and deployed, you will be responsible for backup and deployment procedures. You will also support all technical aspects of the new system upon its release. Programming and documentation projects may be required from time to time.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Working with our application development team to identify issues that must be resolved
  • Providing suggestions for additional application features and improvements
  • Participating in training and assisting customers in testing the application and integrating with legacy conferencing equipment
  • Resolving application issues in a timely fashion
  • Documenting all troubleshooting and problem resolution steps

Required Skills

  • Experience supporting real time web applications
  • Solid understanding of networking
  • Ability to identify and solve infrastructure and/or software problems
  • Ability to capture and analyze network traffic (tcpdump, Wireshark)
  • Knowledge of real time communications protocols signaling (SIP, RTP-ICE, STUN/TURN)
  • Knowledge of Linux servers and comfort with the command line and reviewing log files
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based infrastructures and the ability deploy servers and software
  • Knowledge of DNS, firewalls, tcp/ip sockets and other network technologies
  • Experience with the web application development process, HTML/JavaScript, Object Oriented programming, APIs, Databases, Websockets, WebRTC and Messaging systems
  • Strong communication skills


  • 3+ years in network administration, application development, application support and/or telephone systems engineering


  • BS in computer Science, Information Systems or Network Systems Administration or;
  • Related certifications and 3+ years of experience
